Welcome to Lord Stirling

Family Literacy Night

The goal of the evening's event was to spread the message that "literacy is a family affair." Families began the evening by participating in our interactive poetry workshop, where they worked together to illustrate the poem "Ode to my Shoe," and then used magazines and newspapers to cut out words and piece them together into free form poetry. Families then moved to our hands-on centers, which were created and facilitated by our fantastic staff. At the end of the evening, we held a free raffle for some Barnes & Noble gift cards, and families were provided with tons of free goodies like books, dictionaries, and activities to bring the love of literacy right into their home!

Respect Rocks Wednesdays!

Have YOU made the Respect Board?  Congratulations to all of the nominees this school year!

We would like to recognize students who make good choices and demonstrate outstanding effort to show respect in school throughout the school year.

As such, we will be announcing those recognized students through the loud speaker every Wednesday at 2:55 pm. The deadline for submitting those names will be by noon of every Wednesday.

Message from the Principal

Welcome back Knights!!

Welcome to a brand new and exciting school year!!

We are all so very excited to share with you a new year full of learning adventures, new friends, and challenges that will contribute to preparing each of our students to be life-long learners and to be able to have the tools necessary to pursue the college and career of their choosing.

Students; our teachers, custodians, secretaries, administrators, cafeteria personnel and overall staff have worked very hard in preparing for your arrival, and making sure our building and classrooms are in pristine condition and spotless as well as interesting, inviting, and organized to get the year off to a wonderful start!

A known quote states “The dictionary is the only place where success comes before work” You must do your best, aspire to improve upon that, and only then will we be able to experience true success. Success is connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, but do not ever quit.

After this year is done, will you be able to say that you took action, learned from your mistakes, got up and are able to call yourself truly successful?

Our Lord Stirling family is ready to support you in making sure we all succeed.

Let's make it a great year! On Purpose!

Sincerely,

Dr. Cesar M. Cabrera, Principal
